TURUA NEWS.
Members of the Presbyterian Church tendered a farewell in tlie Turua Hall to •the Rev. and Mrs. R. J. Currie, prior to their departure for Tuakau. The Rev. R. .1. Griffiths, Moderator, spoke in appreciation of the good work clone by Mr. and Mrs. Currie. Messrs. J. C. Millar. F. Armour and S. S. Murray spoke, and the latter presented Mr. and Mrs. Currie with a wallet of notes. On behalf of the combined Bihle classes the Rev. F. C. Truman presented Mr. Currie with a book, and, on behalf of the Plunket Society, Mrs. U S. .Tames presented Mrs. Currie (secretary for two years) with a handbag.
