SUPREME COURT LIBRARY.
PREPARATION OF PLANS. The position regarding the proposed additions to the Auckland Supreme Court building to provide much-needed accommodation for the law library, was explained by the Minister of justice (the Hon. J. 0. Cobbe) yesterday. After his return to Wellington from a previous visit to 'Auckland, Mr, Cobbe said, lie arranged with the Government architect to take out plans of accommodation that could be erected without necesJ'tating the acquisition of additional laud. The plans prepared, which were subsequently submitted to the executive of the Law Society, and later revised by a local architect (Mr. - Towlc), are stated to meet the needs of the library, and will allow for a structure quite in conformity with the existing building. The plans, which provide- for slightly more library accommodation than was formerly proposed, are at present with the Government architect, and when they are released by him the matter will be in order for final submission to Cabinet for approval.
