DISTRICT MINING.
THE OHINEMURI FIELD. APPLICATIONS TO WARDEN. The following mining applications 'were dealt with by the mining warden, Mr. F. W, Platts, S.M., at the monthly sitting of the Court at Pacroa on Monday afternoon:— Karangahake Prospecting Association (for a tramway license over an area 1000 yards long by 10 feet wide). —The inspector's report was favourable and the application was recommended for the consent of the Minister. J. N. Cherry (for protection on the S.P.C. No, 9550 and battery site license No. 0830). —The inspector's report was favourable and the application was recommended for the consent of the Minister. David. Leach (for a prospecting license over 100 acres at Karangahake).—The report was favourable and the application was granted. J. N. Cherry (for a license to construct a dam in the Waitawheta Stream). — Referred to the Minister. Harry Alfred Mills (for three residence site licenses at Komata). —Granted.
Frederick Michael Patterson (for a residence site license at Komata). —Granted. Walter Vaughan Wilson (for a prospecting license over 20 acres at Owharoa).— The inspector's report was favourable and the application was granted, a condition being that £3 a week was expended. Ida Isabella Hamilton (for the surrender ot a residence site license No. C 671). — Accepted as from 31/12/33. John Hamilton (for the surrondor of residence license site No. 5787). —Accepted ui from 31/12/33, Walter Joseph Gibbs (for a prospecting license over 100 acres at Maratoto). —A favourable report was given by the Inspector of Mines and the application was granted, a condition being that £5 a week be expended. Imperial Goldmining Co.. Ltd. (for a reduction in rental over the Royal S.Q.C. No. 9256, the McDonald S.Q.C. No. 9428, and the Imperial S.Q.C. No. 208). —Recommended for the consent of the Minister. T. B. Hirley (for protection over the T.B.H. Dredging Claim No. 9829).—Recommended for the consent of the Minister. Granted, Keith Alexander Powell (for a residence site license at Karangahake).—Granted. Rudolf Schnlzki (for the surrender of the New Talisman S.Q.C. No. 9457).— Withdrawn. Talisman Dubbo Goldmines, Ltd. (for a certificate of reduction in working conditions on the McAdwya S.Q.C. No. 9730).— The Mining Inspector was agreeable and the application was recommended for the consent of the Minister,
