FAREWELL SPEECHES.
DAYS OF PERFECT HARMONY. RAIN CONTINUES TO-DAY. (By Telegraph—Special Reporter.) WAITANGI, this clay. Rain is still falling at Waitangi, and the Public Works Department has been prevented from dismantling the tents and marquees, which are rapidly becoming empty. As soon as the weather clears packing up will be put in hand. A saddening atmosphere permeates the camp as thousands leave for their homes. After Divine service last night speeches of farewell were delivered, the spokesmen referring to the unique occasion and to the fact that all of the tribes had met in perfect harmony. A unanimous tribute was paid to the Ngapuhis as hosts. A happv reunion was held between old pupils "of Te Ante, St. Stephen's and Victoria Colleges and returned soldiers.
