TO-DAY'S WEATHER FOREOAST

WELLINGTON, this day.
The weather in New Zealand is. still controlled maiijly .by an anti-cyclone centred near Chatham Islands, which has increased, somewhat in intensity. The cyclone located yesterday on - the coast of New South Wales is apparently moving southwards, and is. likely to miss New Zealand. The weather, however, will probably gradually become unsettled in most parts.
The forecast is for moderate to strong north-easterly winds, in places reaching gale force. A few scattered showers are still likely, but the weather will be maiulx. fair to fine and warm - Seas Wlll be rough 011 the east coast and moderate on the west.
