(Received 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Remarkable subterranean explosions lasting over an hour startled the residents of Gunning, last night. In all about 23 shocks in 12 minutes were felt, and crockery was broken. The population was more alarmed than usual, and many people spent the night in the streets.
