LUNCHEON PARTY.
A luncheon was tendered to Major and Mrs. C. IT. Douglas by prominent Auckland citizens at the Milne and Choyce reception hall on Tuesday, following tbe reception in the Town Hall. It was organised by Mr. J. W. Manning', assisted by Mrs. C. J. Kirk. Among those present were: Mcsdiiines S. V. Irwin, F. Arinitage, Darlow, E, Bennett. William Harvey, 11. J. Kelliher, J. T. F. Mitchell, Victor Maeky, T. Derrick. E. M. Edgar, F. 0. Pope, G. Cruick shank, J. li. Boyd, Stenborg, H. A. Steadnian, A. V. Fraer, Phillips. Allen, Gregory, Molesworth, Von Stunner, Gap (Sydney), Wright (Adelaide), Hurst, Misses Sexton, Young. Colebrook, Foster, Newman and Phillips. During the day Mrs. Douglas and the visitors from Australia, including Mrs Gap, of Sydney, Mrs. Wright, of Adelaide, and Mr. Barclay Smith, editor of the "New Era," were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Darlow, Mrs. C. J. Kirk and Mrs. Irwin.
