HEALTH CAMPS.

MOTUIHI AND OSTEHD. PARTY RETURNS TO-DAY. The party of children who have been in the Community Sunshine Association's camps at Motuihi Island and Ostend, Waiheke Island, since January 10 returned to Auckland to-day. There have been 102 girls and 14 boys at Motuihi Island and 25 boys at Ostend. All the children benefited considerably from their holiday and their physical condition lias greatly improved. During the day fresh parties left to take the places of those who had left tlie camps. There were 54 boys and 40 girls for Motuihi and 25 boys for Osteiul. The former camp will be known as "Rotary No. 1," as Auckland Rotariana have contributed £100 toward its cost. This camp will close on February 2s, when a further camp will commence known as "Rotary No. 2." Camps will be held as long as funds permit. Children for the March camps will be selected after a medical examination on February 19.

Among those who returned to-day were 12 boys and 12 girls whose families suffered in the Napier earthquake. They have been in camp since December 20, and special arrangements have been made for their entertainment in Auckland before they return to their homes to-morrow. They were given lunch at the Commercial Travellers' Club to-day, and in the afternoon were taken for a drive round the city. . Later they broadcast from IYA before returning , to tea at the Sunshine School in Nelson Street. In the evening they will be the guests of Auckland Cinemas, Ltd., at the London Theatre, and will be accommodated for the night at the Albert Hotel through the courtesy of Mr. Kenneth Myers, the managing director of Campbell ami Ehrenfried Company, Ltd. They leave for Napier to-morrow by train and will be entertained the following morning to breakfast at Palmerston North, under the direction of the Mayor, Mr. A. BMansford.

The two camps controlled by the association will become school camps on February 5, and arrangements have been made with the Auckland Education Board for four qualified teachers to be in attendance.
