YACHTING.
REGATTA PROTESTS. Mr. J. C. Ilcwson, secretary of the regatta committee, has received a protest from the owner of the yacht Kotuku, claiming that the Peri, when on port tack, fouled his yacht, which was on starboard. The owner of the outboard boat Velox has entered a protest against Miss Otahuhu, involving a collision when rounding .1 mark yesterday. Both complaints will be dealt with by the sailing committee.
Races on Saturday. The Akarana Yacht Club will hold a scries of harbour races on Saturday off the clubhouse. Entries close at the usual places to-morrow. The Tamaki Yacht Club will hold its third series of races for all chusses under 20ft next Saturday. Entries close at the usual places on Thursday.
