ENGLAND PLEASED WITH PERRY

LONDON, January 29

The "Daily Telegraph," in a leader on "Our Tennis Prestige," says that the con-j gratulations being showered on Perry for liis victory over Crawford in the Australian lawn tennis championships, are well should he less than human if we did not welcome the break in the long years when a British victory in international lawn tennis seemed the most forlorn of hopes," the "Telegraph . continues. "Piquancy is added to titer™tory because Perry in straight sets defeated the victor of Wimbledon."
