A branch, of the Fanners' Union has been formed at Mangapai. A decision to form the branch was made afu-r a meeting addressed by the organiser of the New Zealand Farmers' Union, Mr. T. F. Jollv. . Officers were elected as follow: President, Mr. G. V. Garter; vice-president, Mr. C. C. Cotton; secretary, Mr. J. R. .laggard; committee, Messrs. S. H. Ornmndy, Mess, W. A. Thomson, G. H. Gulbraneen, M. Finlayson, S. H. Hayward, T. .Tones, W. A. Watson. The meeting pa&i([Vl a resolution calling on the Govcnirmcnt to make an inquiry into the monetary system.
