SYMPATHY EXPRESSED.
EXPLORERS ENTERTAINED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth and Sir Hubert Wilkins were entertained this morning by the Otago Harbour Board. Speeches of sympathy were made by the board chairman and the Mayor of Dunedin, the Rev-. E. T. Cox. They expressed regret that Mr. Ellsworth's Antarctic expedition had not achieved its object, and hope that if another attempt were made Dunedin would again be the base. Mr. Ellsworth thanked the Dunedin people for their kindness, which he said was iii keeping with that he. received throughout the Dominion.
