After attending the Waitangi celebration both Ministers will spend some time in the Dominion conferring with the Government and investigating matters concerning their respective Departments.

"While I am here I will discuss with the New Zealand Government matters of mutual interest to Australia and the Dominion, particularly those affecting' my own Department of Commerce," said Mr. Stewart. "This will include an exchange of views on the question of the embargoes placed on the interchange of products." Apart from intercolonial trade, he hoped to discuss the question of collaboration between the countries in the export of primary produce to the United Kingdom. The Minister is accompanied by Mr. J. F. Murphy, assistant secretary of the Department of Commerce, Mr. E. Harding, private secretary, Mr. P. Horan, Assistant Controller of Customs, and Mr. .E. MeKinnon, director of plant quarantine in the Department of Health. Mr. Weaver's Interests. The New South Wales representative, Mr. Weaver, is accompanied by Mr. J. Merrett, Commissioner of the Meat Industry in Sydney. It is their intention to study the chain system of killing which was last year introduced in the Dominion, and they will visit a number of the abattoirs in both islands. The hygienic distribution of milk will also receive the Minister's attention. He said it was a problem in the big populace of Sydney, and some system of delivery in containers was being considered by his Government. The municipal milk delivery system at Wellington will be particularly investigated.
