(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUXEDIN, Thursday. The Forbury Park Trotting Club' 3 summer meeting opened to-day in showery weather, 1 but later there wag brilliant sunshine. The track was heavy at the start, but improved after the fourth race. There was a good attendance. The • totalisator handled £12,809, compared with £11,695 on the first day last year. After Wahnooka (Vauxhall Handicap) and Wise Guy (Southland Handicap) had won the opening events later results were:— ; a ELECTRIC HANDICAP of £140. One mile and a half. Limit 3.32. Vesuvius led most of the way. Royal Silk, Blue Mountain and Lindbergh were first into the straight and at the distance Lindbergh took charge to win by a length and a half, with the third horse three-quarters of a length away.
