A SECRET BALLOT.
WELLINGTON WATERSIDERS. DISTRIBUTION" OF WORK. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The waterside workers, who have declined work for several days, held a stop-work meeting this morning and decided to take a secret ballot. The votes are now being counted, but owing to the fact that most of the men have gone to their homes, the result may not be available to the public until Tuesday. The trouble; which has resulted in 11 number of vessels being held up, is due to dissatisfaction concerning the distribution of work.
