Brazil's Offer to Settle Assyrians. SIR J. SIMON'S PRAISE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 12.30 p.m.)
RUGBY, January 19.
The League Council at Geneva discussed the Assyrian question at sonic length. Sir John Simon expressed the thanks of the Council to Brazil for the offer to settle on agricultural land in Brazilian territory the whole of the Assyrians in Iraq, numbering about 10,000 persons. Sir John said it was the first time in history that an entire people hacl emigrated to another part of the world.
