KING'S EMPIRE VETERANS.
The annual meeting of the King's Empire Veterans was held on Wednesday last, Captain J. A. Algie presiding. In presenting the report and balancesheet, the 0.C., Captain Henry Raby, referred to the deaths of Mr. I. A. Beale, the late secretary, Mr. Sandbrook, of Devonport, in his hundredth year, and Lord Ranfurly, who, with the late Captain James Stichbury, founded the King's Empire Veterans 32 years ago. The committee was re-elected as follows:—Captain I. A. Algie (chairman), Messrs. G. H. Rowley, W. A. Pickrell, J. Banbury, W. Edgerby, F. Craft, C. Stuart, J. Connett, Captain J. C. Leahey and Captain Henry Raby (hon. secretary and treasurer).
