COCKTAIL PARTY.
Mrs. Charles Xatluin, of Avney Road, Remuera, entertained a number of guests yesterday afternoon at her residence. The occasion was her son Peter's birthday, and the guests as they strolled through the beautiful gardens and artistically furnished rooms spent an enjoyable two hours. The hostess received her guests in a geranium red ninon ensemble. Prominent among the floral decorations were the huge heads, in every colour, of hydrangea. Among those present were: Sir George and Lady Elliot, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Horton, Captain and Mrs. Brian Hewitt, Mrs. J. Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Eliot Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bull, Mr. Oliver Nicholson. Dr. and Mrs. Borric, Mrs. Burgos Watson, Mrs. E. Dargaville, Mr. and Mrs. John Ewen, Mr. and Mrs. M M. Louisson, Air. and Mrs. McMillan Bull, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Myers, Air. and Mrs. William-Powlctt, Commander and Airs. William-Powlctt, Colonel and Mrs. Noel Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Trevor Davis, Mr. Colin Anderson, Mr. and Airs. IT. Vaile, Miss Freda Rath bone, Mis? Cherry Anderson.
