SOCIAL GATHERINGS.
Mr. and Mrs. Rusbrook, of Greenfield Road, Epsom, gave a jolly kitchen evening in honour of Miss Maisie Dawdle, whose marriage takes place shortly. The house was daintily arranged in tones of pink and blue flowers. Amusing and useful presents were presented, and competitions and, dancing added to an enjoyable evening's entertainment.
At the home of Mrs. Sayegh, Huntly Avenue, on Wednesday, a party was held in honour of Miss Josephine Sayegh and Mr. Wilfred Hassan. There were present, about fifty-two guests, and a very enjoyable time was spent in dancing! Musical items were rendered by Mr. Reg. Morgan. . * * * *
The president of the Auckland Travel Club, Mrs: Victor Macky, and some of the members held a delightful afternoon tea yesterday in their rooms, in Queen's Arcade. The guests of honour were Mrs. I. M. Cooke, of Florida, and Miss Carrick, who is leaving for Loudon by the Rangitata. Dainty summer blooms were arranged round the rooms and on the teatable. Among those present were: Mrs.. Browning, Mrs. W. Johnston, Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. W. 11. Parke.s, Mrs.-Ray--111011 d Sheath, Sirs. Bishop, and the Misses Goldie.
