Inquiry.
DICTATORIAL MINISTER,
WASHINGTON, January 12
A series of independent air-line operatore was paraded before the Senate subsidies investigating committee.
One said he estimated that the Government h,ad lost about 1,070,000 dollars through ignoring low bids, and contended that he could have supplied an equivalent service.
I All witnesses were inclined to criticise the allegedly dictatorial manner in which the Poetmaster-General, Mr. Walter F. Brown, handled the matter.
Through the Press Association, Mr. Brown has announced that he would welcome a chance to refute the charges before the committee. He denied having destroyed anything but personal files.
