BIG AIR RACE.

FAST NEW 'PLANES. Mollison and Captain Stack May Enter. GREAT INTEREST IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) (Beceived 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, January 12. British air circles are taking great interest in the forthcoming centenary air race from England to Melbourne for the Macrobertson TVophy, and a first prize of £10,000. The race is to start late in October. The Dβ Havilland Company is to build a number of special aeroplanes designed for the race, each one having a guaranteed top speed of not less than 200 miles an hour. The machines will carry a crew of two.

It is understood that Mr. J. A. Mollison intends to acquire one of these machines.

Captain Neville Stack is also expected among the competitors, using an airspeed Courier machine.
