SWIMMING CARNIVAL.
MOUNT EDEN ON MONDAY. The race between Bob Frankham and Noel Crump In the 50yds swimming championship of Auckland, at the Mount Eden Club's carnival in the Mount Eden Baths on Monday evening, is arousing much interest. Frankham is the 100 yds champion of New Zealand, and Crump, who is the holder of the 50yds Auckland title, swam brilliantly at the Auckland intermediate and junior championship carnival last Tuesday evening. The race has attracted a number of other entrants, and will be swum in heats.
The meeting of Crump and Frankham in the 22Q,.vds open handicap should also be a splendid duel, as Crump's best time is only two-fifths of a second slower than Frankhnnfs senior record for New Zealand.
The intermediate and junior champions of Auckland will make their last appearance locally before leaving to compete at the New Zealand championship meeting at rulmerston North on January 10, 20 and
