WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

SMITH— GRANT,

A pretty naval wedding was solemnised last Saturday, when Mollie Louise, only daughter of Mrs. and the late Air. D. Grant, of New North Road, Glenmore, was married to Mr. J. E, Smith. Instructor, R.N.V.R. Duncdin, and of Bournemouth, Kngland. The church was prettily decorated with agapantlnis and pink and hlue hydrangeas. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of Captain A. McDonald, wore an exquisite gown of magnolia satin beaute, cut on classical lines, with graceful flaring skirt sweeping into a semi-circular train. Wrist-length sleeves, with full puff from shoulder to elbow were a distinguishing feature, over which cascaded a beautiful parchment veil embroidered with true lovers' knots. The cap was secured with orange blossom and white heather. A shower sheaf of! Christmas and water lilies was carried. The bride was followed down the aisle by four bridesmaids, Misses Kathleen Ginders, Ethel Killey, and Ailsa and Edwina Leach. They wore frocks of pale pink and blue silk organdie, made with full puffed sleeves and flared skirts edged with deep hem of niching, finished with sashes of pink. Their wide organdie picture hats were trimmed with pastel tinted roses. Blue and pink mittens made a quaint touch, and bouquets of pink sweet peas, water lilies and cornflowers' were carried. Chief Petty Officer J. Harris, of H.M.s. Diomede, acted as best man. The groomsmen were: Chief Petty Officers G. W. Smith, H. Gifkins, and J. Switzer. The reception was held at the Mayfair Cabaret, which was prettily decorated with pastel flowers of blue and pink. The guests were received by the bride's mother, who wore a becoming ensemble of black and white crinkle crepe, trimmed with gardenias, and a hat to tone. She carried a bouqtfet of dark red roses.
