HIGH HOPES.
MONDAY'S WOOL SALE. SIXTY BUYERS ARRIVE. COMMENT BY CHAIRMAN. 'High hopes that the second Auckland wool sale of the season next Monday will bring much better prices than the first sale on November 27 are held by brokers and farmers. Over sixty buyers arrived from the Wellington sale by train this, morning, and not long afterwards many of them were among the wool in the stores in the Strand. "Prospects appear good for Monday's sale," said Mr. Herbert Hill, chairman of the New Zealand Wool Buyers' Association. "Judging by the wool offered at the last sale here, the second clip should be in good condition. The last Auckland clip compared very favourably with, the Wellington offering, but there were more classed clips in Wellington than in Auckland. In Auckland there is a definite lack of classing and the clips are not skirted enough. Although the wool this year has been better in this respect than in previous years, there is still considerable room for improvement." Wool buyers who arrived this morning and the firms they represent are:— Messrs. R. H. Hill, G. G. Anderson, and H. G. Galbraith (Walter Hill and Sons, Christchurch); Mr. S. E.
