OBITUARY.

SISTER LUCY BEGBIE. The death of Sistrr Lucy Begbie at Auckland, this week removes one "who has had an active career in public nursing in the Dominion and played an important part in the Plunket Society work. A daughter of Mr. Eobert Begbie and the late Mrs. A. S. Begbie, she was born at Pukekohe, and after completing her training at the Auckland Public Hospital in 1012 she undertook a course of training in Plunket nursing and midwifery. She was appointed a Plunket nurse at Gisborne and later at Waipav.a. Then she was appointed matron of the Stewart - Karitane Hospital, Wanganui. During her career she was also matron of the Te Araroa and WMtianga Hospitals. LATE MR. ROBERT BURNS. Four directors of the Auckland Hns Co.. Ltd., Messrs. Archibald Clark, W. R. Wilson. E. R. X. Russell, and J. A. Peacock, the general manager. Mr. •Tames Lowe, and the secretary, Mr. E. D. Ashton, represented the company at the funeral yesterday of Mr. Eobert Burns.
