VISITING RAROTONGANS.

WELCOMED BY PREMIER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The party of Rarotongan chiefs visiting New Zealand was informally welcomed on behalf of the Government by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, this morning. Replying 011 behalf of the visitors Nui Tinirau said the chiefs of Rarotonga wished to extend a greeting to the people of New Zealand. They were pleased to be part of the great British Empire and part of' the Dominion of New Zealand, and they were well satisfied with the way they were being governed. Native songs were delightfully sung, by a choir of about 20 voices.
