TO MATCH THE EYE. "Blue jewellery of every description is seen in the London shops," writes a London girl to a friend 111 Wellington. "The fashion was started by the King, who, they say, gave the Duchess of York some blue jewellery because he thinks that blue-eyed women should always wear blue stones to deepen the colour q£ their eyes. "The fashion for hair ornaments is coming back. Bandeaux are seen in all sorts of colours and designs, and even paste stars, comets and halfmoons are worn by smart women."
