Sensational Honolulu Trial

LIEUTENANT MASSIE'S CASE
WASHINGTON, January 7.
Mrs. Thalia Massie, the socially prominent wife of a naval lieutenant, who figured' prominently in the sensational Honolulu murder trial in April, 1032, announced "yesterday that she is planning to seek a divorce. She said she was doing so at the insistence of her husband.
In April, 1932, Mrs. Hassle's husband, Lieutenant Thomas H. Massie, her mother, Mrs. Granville Fortescue, and two naval ratings, were tried . and acquitted at Honolulu on a charge of murdering Joe Kahahawai, a native. The lastnamed was one of five men who had been arrested charged with assaulting Mrs. Massie on September 12, 1931.
