GANG LEADER SHOT.
"GENTLEMEN KIDNAPPERS."
CHICAGO, January 7.
Theodore Klutas, college-bred leader of a gang of "gentlemen kidnappers," was fatally shot by a party of policemen. Trapped in a farmhouse Klutas opened fire at the police, who answered with a fusillade. The authorities state that the gang has extorted 500,000 dollars from victims in the past few years.
