WHARVES BUSY.

LARGE VESSELS BERTHED.

The waterfront to-day is busy with the handling of both inward and outward cargoes, as there are seven large overseas vessels now being -worked. Tha liner Aorangi arrived this morning, and the second vessel of the Blue Star Line to load for England under the new arrangement with the produce boards is also in port. Captain W. H. Bevau, master of the Sultan Star, who is making his first visit to New Zealand, was formerly an officer in the sunken Tahiti when that vessel was named the Port Kingston, in the Avonmouth-Jamaica service. Aorangi arrived this morning from Sydney with passengers, mails, and cargo, hikl is at the Prince's wharf. Sha is to sail at 11 a.m. to-morrow in continuation of her voyage to Vancouver, via Suva, Honolulu, and Victoria. (U.S.S.) Sultan Star, which arrived yesterday morning from Wellington, is completing her cargo of New Zealand produce for England. She is berthed at the Central wharf, and sails on Friday morning for London, via Panama. (W. and R.F.) Sydney Mam, loading and unloading at the King's wharf, ie to sail at 4 p.m. to-day for Japan. She brought cargo from that country, and is to call at Brisbane on the return trip. (F.C.A.) Hauraki arrived yesterday afternoon from Los Angeles and Pacific Coast ports and is at the Queen's wliarf. She has cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Hobnrt, Beauty Point, Melbourne, and Sydney, and is to sail at 3 p.m. to-morrow for the South. (U.S.S.) Canadian Victor arrived shortly after noon to-day from Montreal, and berthed at the Queen's wharf. She sails later for Wellington and Australia, proceeding thence to New York, Boston, and Halifax. (C.N.S») Narbada, unloading Eastern cargo at the Prince's wharf, is to sail at noon to-morrow for Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru. Dunedin, and Bluff. (U.S.S.) Waipahi is to arrive at 6 a.m. tomorrow from Suva. She is expected to sail to-morrow afternoon for Newcastle, Sydney, Fiji, and Nukualofa, thence return to Auckland, via Suva. (U.S.S.)

Karetu arrives at 6 a.m. on Wednesday from Singapore and Sainarang. After discharging the local cargo, she proceeds to Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dimedin, and Bhrff. (U.S.S.)
