YIELDS OF COMPANIES
Blackwater. — The monthly report of IHaekwater Mines states the yield of fine cold from 3000 tons of crushing was ISOOoz, which, valued at 120/ an ounce', amounted 'to £8214. The wnrjdng profit wns £273-"i for the month. Development expenditure \v:-<: n?>'' ca'bitnl expenditure £1511. Mataki. —The Marafcl return states that the vield for Ifj hours' working was 270z 4dwt.. MINE MANAGER'S REPORT. Mataki.—Under date December 22. 1933, the dredgemaster reports as follows: The week was a short one. but under the circumstances this was unavoidable, as we did .not wish to have any gold about during the holidays. The time worked wns 00 hours 20 minutes, the gold won being 270z 4dwt. The face is now 214 ft and the dredge pulled ?Uead 72ft, the average depth being ISft. The wash seems to be Improving on the eastern side of the face, while the gold recovered is a better sample, being of a c.-nreer nature than any hitherto encountered.
