DAYLIGHT THEFT.
EPSOM HOUSE ENTERED. An impudent theft was caried out between 7 a.m. and noon to-day, when a man broke into the house of Mr. William Batt, caretaker at Cornwall Park, Epsoin, and stole money and jewellery. Mr. Batt left his house locked when he went to commence work at seven o'clock this morning, but on returning at midday, he found that entrance had been gained by a window. Mrs. Batt and family are spending a holiday at the seaside and no estimate of the value of the missing property can be made until her return.
