THEFT OF RING.
A labourer, Leonard Augustus William Beaeley, aged 21, appeared for sentence, in the Police Court this morning, on a charge of stealing a gold dress ring valued at £3, at Henderson, on August 31 last. Mr. Aekins,- who appeared for Beaeley, said accused had been in custody since Thursday last. The ring had been recovered. Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., said the probation officer's report was favourable. In view of his youth, accused would be admitted to probation for 12 months.
