French Reduction of Import
Quotas.
USELESS SURTAX ABOLITION,
(Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, January 5. At a meeting of Manchester cotton exporters, it was decided to urge the Government to take a strong in order to protect British interests against the French imports quota reduction, pointing out that it has nullified the benefits of the abolition of the 15 per cent surtax." The meeting also recommended the restoration of quotas pending AngloFrench discussions.
