ATHLETICS.
AUCKLAND AMATEUR CLUB. The Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club will decide a programme of running, cycling and field events at Carlaw Park next Saturday afternoon, commencing at two o'clock. On Saturday, January 20, the club will hold a big carnival afternoon at the Western Springs Stadium, when a full programme of running, jumping, cycling, ladies', field, walking and hurdling events will be decided, as well as the club's cycling championships. Nominations for the Western Springs Stadium carnival will close next Saturday with Mr. 11. T. J. McNiel, boa. secretary.
PAEROA SPORTS.
The. Paeroa Athletic and Cycling Club will hold its annual meeting on the Paeroa Domain on Anniversary Day, January 29. Running, cycling and chopping events are Included in the programme, which is advertised in this issue.
