NEW YEAR PARTIES.
LONDON CHILDREN REJOICE. LONDON, January 2. Although Mr. George Lansbury is still iu bed in a nursing home, 30,000 Poplar children braved the fog yesterday to attend New Year Mr. Lansbury and Sir George Paton instituted these parties 30 years ago. ' Twenty-two centres, comprising town halls, picture houses and music halls, were used.
