SHIPPING NEWS.

NO FURTHER SHIPS. POST WORK STIIX QUIET. Work at the wharves remains much the same as it was yesterday, but during the week-end more overseas vessels are due. The next passenger ship from Sydney arrives on Friday, and the return trip will commence the following day. The next consignment of Island fruit is due early next week. Wanganella sailed yesterday afternoon from Sydney, and is expected at Auckland on Friday. She is to sail the following day at 11 a.m. on the return trip. (H.P.j Hauraki reports by radio that she will arrive from Los Angeles and Nukualofa on Sunday. After discharge here she proceeds to Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Hobart, Beauty Point, Melbourne, and Sydney. She leaves Sydney early in February for Suva, Apia, and Vancouver. (U.S.S.) Narbada reports by radio that she expects to arrive on Friday morning from Calcutta and Singapore. Her cargo of Eastern produce is for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timani, Dunedin, and Bluff. (U.S.S.)

THE NIAGARA. The Union Company's Royal Mall liner Niagara is scheduled to leave Vancouver to-day for Victoria, Honolulu, Suva and Auckland. She is due here on Monday, January 22, and sails the following day for Sydney. THE ABEL TASMAN. The Abel Tasman is to load at Port Kembla, northern New South Wales ports, Newcastle and Sydney tor Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is expected to leave Sydney for Auckland about January 10. MONOWAI FOR SOUNDS. The Union Company's passenger steamer Monowui arrived at Sydney from Auckland at noon yesterday and is proceeding to Melbourne. From there she sails to-morrow for jMilford Sound, Dunedin ami Wellington, where she is due on January 11. WAIHEMO'S LOADING. The Union Company's steamer Waihemo is reported to have reached Vancouver from Suva last. Friday, to commence loading at Pacific Coast ports for Nukualofa, Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney.
