HOLIDAY MARKET. Merchants have not yet got into their normal stride again after the Christmas and New Year breaks, and the holiday feeling still prevails. Prices remain generally steady at late rates. The seasonal demand for clover and grass seeds should soon be creating the market in that particular direction. For wheat, pollard, barley and bran there is nothing to report. The wheat market is firm, with a steady demand. Prices are hardening. Wholesale Current Prices. Pollard and Bran.—Mill prices: Pollard, £6 per ton; bran, £6 per ton. Merchants' prices: Pollard, local, £6 5/ .per ton; Australian, £6 15/; bran, £6 5/. Oats.—Feed: B Gartons, 3/2 per bushel; A Gartons, 3/5; clipped Dunns, i/; clipped Algerians, New Zealand, 4/6; clipped Gartons, 3/9. Fowl Wheat.—Canterbury, graded, 5/ per bushel; undergrade, from 4/6 upwards. Maize.—4/6 per bushel. Barley.—Feed: Clipped. 4/ per bushel. Seed: Cape, 5/ per bushel. Maize Meal—9/6 per 1001b. Barley Meal.—B/6 per 1001b. Wheat Meal.—7/ti per 1001b. Chaif.—G.b.cs., £7 per ton, Blenheim or Canterbury.
Potatoes.—table: Pukekohe, 3/4 to 3/6 sugar bag. Onions. —Local, 10/ to 12/ cwt.
