SENEGAL SCORES IN STAKES. (By Telegrapr,.— tress Association.) WANGANUI, Tuesday. The Marton Jockey Club's summer meeting was concluded to-day in fine weather. The track was in excellent order. The totalisator handled £6554, against £2881 for the second day last year, making the total for the meeting £18,901, compared with £10,151 last year. Having inquired into the improvement shown by Lone Raider in the Summer Hack Handicap to-day compared with his running in the New Year Hack Handicap yesterday, and having heard the evidence' of the owner and trainer, the judicial committee decided to accept the explanation. W. Bowden was fined £4 for breaking an engagement to ride Ruanui. Chock Say (Tutaenui Hurdles)' and Debut (Junction Plate) were the opening winners.
