Father O'Meeghan and Father Maguire, of Christchurch, are visiting Auckland. Mr. R. R. Minchin, assistant director of the Zoological Gardens, Adelaide, left for Australia by the Monowai to-day. Mr. S. Hartfield, of Auckland, is reported to be in the St. James , Hospital, L-ids. Dr. J. Craig, with Dr. Jeannie C. Craig and family, left Auckland for Sydney by the Monowai to-day. Major and Mrs. Hunter-Blair are coming to New Zealand to visit Mrs. Hunter-Blair's brother, Sir R. Heaton Rhodes. Captain W. H. Furlonger, Imperial Army, is on holiday in New Zealand, and is at present staying at the Station Hotel. Mr. Malcolm R. Henderson, who is on six months' furlough from Persia, is staying with his parents in Canterbury Tlace, Parnell. Sir Walter Carncross, M.L.C., Speaker of the Legislative Council, accompanied by Lady Carncross, arrived from New Plymouth this morning. After a few days' big game fishing at the Bay of elands, Mr. Bertram Parkinson, of Creskeld Hall, Bradford, and his daughter are returning to the Grand Hotel to-morrow. Mr. J. A. Malcolm, officer in charge of the Invercargill office of the Tourist Department, is to escort the Victorian Scottish Union touriste, who are to arrive in New Zealand on January 9. Dr. Keith Mulinder, house surgeon at the Wellington Hospital, has been appointed senior house surgeon at the Dunedin Public Hospital. The Hon. A. C. Westmorland, keeper of the rolls of the parish of St. Mary, Jamaica, and president of the Boy Scouts' Association of Jamaica, is visiting his sister, Mrs. S. J. H. Twigg, of Horshain Downs, Waikato.
