A MATCHBOX TRICK.
(Sent In by Tommy Flanagan.) Hero is a simple trick which is sure to mystify your friends. All you need is a matchbox as shown in diagram. Firstly, remove matches from box, then remove the tray from inside. The trick is to show your friends an empty matchbox then with a flourish of your hand, the box is filled with, matches. Here is the trick:—
Thrust a layer of matches over tha •underside of tray, then insert it. Leaving the row of matches in position shown in diagram. When you flourish your hand you secretly overturn box which places the layer of matches on the bottom. You then show your audience the empty box. Then tell them that you will return the matches. With another wave of your hand you turn the box upside down which brings the layer of matches to the top which, to all appearances, looks as. if the box was full.
