DEATH IN HOSPITAL. WIFE OF MOUNT COOK GUIDE. (By Telegraph.—Press Assoclution.) CHRISTCHURC'H, this day. The death is reported in Rotherham Hospital of Mrs. Alf. Brustad, formerly Miss Aroha Clifford. Prior to her marriage she was a flying enthusiast. Mrs. Brustad was 25 years of age. Her death followed the birth of a son two days ago. She was New Zealand's first woman pilot. Her husband was a former guide on Mount Cook.
