MONSOONAL RAINS.

RAILWAY WASHED AWAY. (Received 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. About 17 miles of railway line between Mount Gipps and Kinalong were washed away in a terrific downpour of rain. Railway traffic to Broken Hill is disorganised. The rainfall in the far west is without parallel, and areas that have been dry for years are now inundated. As the result of the monsoonal storm, floods are expected in Upper Darling.
