FRANKLIN POWER BOARD.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, Wednesday. The Franklin Electric Power Board decided to extend the power lines for several miles in the Mannkau Peninsula, the total cost of the work to be £3730 and the extension to be taken as far as the Awliitu Central School,. The engineer, Mr. L. G. Sharp, in his report, stated that as yet a payable load was not offering for a branch line along the Pollok Wharf Road, the estimated co6t of which would be £1040. - A request was received from the Pukekohe Borough Council asking for the street lights in King Street, Pukekohe, to be left burning until 1 a.m. The request was granted.
