SCOUTS' "GOOD TURN."

CHRISTMAS TQYS CAMPAIGN. • ■ The terms "Boy Scouts" and "Good Turns" have become synonymous, and this Christmas in Auckland a. combined good turn is being organised which, it is hoped, will result in 10,000 toys being made available for distribution to poor children of the city. Not only will good toys be collected, but disused or broken playthings will be repaired and renovated at the scouts toy hospital, where members of scout committees, together with scoutmasters, will be working every evening for the next ten days. The scouts desire to bring happiness on Christmas morning to thousands of poor children who otherwise would not be visited by Santa Claue. On Saturday next the public will have an opportunity of helping, when cheerful scouts will make house-to-house calls for toys, either new or old. Their well-planned campaign will extend from 8 till 11 a.m.
