HENDERSON. The monthly meeting of the Henderson Town Board was held on Tuesday'night. Members present were: Messrs. H. Noreross (chairman), R. Carey, J. H. Lee, A. Garelja, A. W. Bussey, W. A. Corban and Hansen. Relief Camps.—A report of the conference recently held by the western suburban local bodies—New Lynn, Glen Eden, Waitemata County and Henderson —to consider the question of relief work, indicated that the consensus of opinion was in favour of taking united action to suspend all relief work if married men were called to go into camp. The point was considered by the board, the general feeling being to the same effect. It was resolved to bring the subject before the conference called by the Mayor of Auckland for to-day, and the chairman and Mr. Bussey were appointed as delegates. Miscellaneous.—-Owing to the nuisance caused by motor cars entering the Falls Park, it was decided to take the necessary steps to prevent cars entering. The dog registration tax was fixed at 2/6 for working dogs and 5/ for all other. It was agreed to procure three extra fire extinguishers for use in the Town Hall and the supper room. PAPAKURA. Mr. H. E. McEntee presided over the usual meeting of the Papakura Town Board. Revaluation. —Information was received from the Valuation Department that the revaluation of the town beard district will be undertaken after the Christmas holidays. Prince Edward Park.—The new wall on the sea front has been completed and Stone steps at the northern end were authorised for the convenience or bathers. Christmas Pictures. — Permission to screen- pictures on Christmas Day _ was finally granted on condition that the loudspeaker is silenced that day. Water Supply .-Mr. J. G. Walker was granted permission to obtain water, tor nis farm from above the filters and the charge to be 1/ per 1000 gallons, with a minimum of £2> per annum. Dog Collars.—The tender of Mr. W. P. Windust, of Manurewa, of 58/ for 200 dog collars was accepted. Dog Registrar—Mr. C. Letts, of Papakura, was reappointed dog registrar for the town board area.
