FATAL WEATHER TEST.

An attempt to test weather conditions with a kite cost the lives of two persons at Tsinghua University, at Peiping. Taking advantage of a favourable wind, meteorologists sent aloft a huge kite. After reaching a. height of 3000 feet, it suddenly dropped to the earth. The steel wire which held it fell across a high tension line, a young student assistant, Shi Chin-chingj grasped the wire and was electrocuted. Near, by a soldier saw the wire fall across the road. He reached for it and was killed by the electric charge.
