OBITUARY.

MR. RICHARD TANNER. A well-known farmer of Te Puke, Mr. Richard Tanner, died on November 28, aged 69 years. He was born in Ireland, and arrived in New Zealand in 1886, going to Tauranga, where.he was employed on Te Matai station, Te Puke, till 1895, when he went mining and contracting in the Upper Thames district. He afterwards worked in. the battery at Waikino, and in 1908 went farming in Wairarapa district. He settled at Te Puke 15 years ago. Mr. Tanner is survived by his wife, one son and four daughters.
