CZECHS AND NAZI MENACE.

Under the title, "The Swastika Threatens: We Sleep on the Edge of an Abyss," a small book, cheap, and evidently meant for mass consumption, has just been published in Czech at Prague. Josef Kojecky and Colonel Emanuel, the latter of the Czech General Stair, are the authors. Taking as its general tliemo the possibility of a new war from Germany's side, the authors declare that it would be a mistake to think that Nazi Germany need wait ten years before she dare wage a war. In view of Germany's powerful chemical industry, preparation for the next war would not need such a long period. Slovakia is threatened by Hungary. Since France has built powerful fortifications, directed against Italy and Germany, it is unnecessary to ask in which direction Germany would send her first troops. The Czech frontier is the most vulnerable. Therefore, it is necessary, say the authors, to build all possible fortifications as quickly as possible, and to go forward with tho construction of a powerful air fleet capable of coping with enemy attacks.
