LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
NEWTON CLUB AWARDS. The Newton Rangers Rugby League Club held its annual social last evening, over 200 members, supporters and friends participating. The chairman of the club, Mr. W. Badley, took the opportunity to congratulate the executive and players on the club's success during the season, both in senior and junior grades. Prizes were presented as follows: —Most improved player, A. Porteous; best back and forward respectively, C. Dempsey and C. Blaeklaws; most improved reserve player, H. Oakley Browne; most consistent reserve player, C. L. Clemrru
